Do you want to help translating Slave Pits into a new language,? Well... that's really good news!
It's very easy to access the game's language files:
- Download the latest version of the game for linux or windows, depending in which OS you want to work with
- Extract the compressed file
- Navigate to the "data" folder
- There you'll find several "messages_XX.properties" files. You can translate the game from the language you feel more comfortable with. Let's say you want to translate it from english: then you copy the "messages_en.properties" file to your working directory and begin to edit it!
- Don't translate/modify all the text to the left of the equal sign: those are the message keys and must remain equal for every language.
- Don't use regular carry returns inside the longer texts. The game uses the \n character as carry returns and you'll find them already there.
- Don't translate anything inside "##" marks. Those words remain the same in all languages.
